Good Kid, M.A.A.D City - Kendrick Lamar

Good Kid, M.A.A.D City is Kendrick Lamar's second studio album, and arguably his best release to date. It recounts excerpts from a young Kendrick's life, dealing with drugs, robbery, sexual themes, and much more. The way the songs are set makes this album almost like a 3 part play. This album is meant to be relatable to his audience, more specifically residents of Compton/Watts.

Personal Rating: 10/10. Soon to be a classic.

Acceptance Speech - Dance Gavin Dance

Acceptance Speech is Dance Gavin Dance's fifth studio album, released in 2013. This album is much different from any of their last releases, factoring in their constant line-up changes that occur. None of the tracks on this album lack in delicious guitar riffs and nonsensical vocals. The screaming blended with just the right amount of singing makes this album stand out.

Personal Rating, 9.5/10. For those who are fans of the post-hardcore and math-rock-esque genres, this album will be enjoyed.

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy - Kanye West

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is potentially, Kanye West's best, and most out there album to date. The lyricism on Kanye's part in this album, is insane, as is the deepness in the lyrics. It really seems as if in the process of this album, Kanye is looking to find out who exactly, he is.

Personal Rating, 9.5/10. Instant hip-hop/rap classic.
